you can straighten the rims. I recently took my alloy rims to a welder recommended by my tire place. The hardest part was actually having to switch the rims off the bloody car and pick up two used steel volvo rims at the junkyard.
The quote I got was for $180 for two rims. This includes full cleaning and truing so the rim looks like new. The guy actually showed me the warping on a special lathe with a pointed arm to track the rim's edge... one rim had a 1/2" bend! The bendwas so bad my tire had worked the rim shiny on that side from sitting high on the rim and moving around.
I put the tires in the garage and am thinking about it. I want to fix them, but I'd rather spend about $60-$70 per rim...
look for a welder in your area, they seem to be the folks that do this work. If you can't find one ask a tire place who they recommend.
