940 - To turbo or not?

This is a right brain - left brain question. I plan on getting a 940 soon for commuting. My left brain tells me not to get a turbo because of possible future turbo repairs and more wear and tear on engine and components due to heat and higher insurance costs. My right brain tells me how cool turbos are and how much more fun it will be to have a little bit more acceleration.

Which brain shall I listen to?
