Nice sounding motor you have there.
I think the M46 bolts straight in. However, whilst you're at the scrappy you'd be daft not to grab the M47 bell housing thus turning a probability into a certainty. You'll also need the clutch master cylinder, hydrailic line and slave cylinder. Again, check the donor car to see if you will also need the clutch pedal from it to replace your cable operating job.
A nice new clutch (not as pricey as you'd think if you shop about) means you then won't need to drop the box off again for several centuries.
Ignore what folks say about the M47 being weak. I've had 2 bricks with this unit (c.200k and 165k each) and neither caused and probs. My Dads old M47 equipped 745 got well past the 200k mark with no grief and a 5 cog box is sooooooo much nicer (and less troublesome) than that finniky over drive madoodah (cue 500 posts from irate M46 OD owners).
