Fuel pump problems?? 700 1980

Car will run on main pump alone but not well especially when tank goes below 1/2. Assume you have checked fuses. If neither pump operates most likely it is the fuel pump relay, resolder it. This cost nothing and will most likely fix the problem. See FAQ section for info on how this is done. BTW fuel pump relay which activates both relays at once is shared in the same case as the system relay which provides power to the ECU and other components. They are both in rectangular case to the left side of the relay tray.
