Radiator Temp Sensor not connected at all. 200 1993

I don't know why they would not last. However, when I got the 84 it never kicked
on. So, I wired it to a switch. The turn on temp was a bit too high at 205 F for
my taste anyway. Putting the sensor in the upper hose is not correct to my knowledge. It's better to monitor the water going back to the motor in the lower hose. Maybe the Saab location gets more heat soak? On the radiator the
sensor hole is on the cool side. I've heard that you can get cooler temp versions
but never looked into ordering one. Make sure you match the thermostat to the
sensor so you don't have things fighting each other. I believe the 88 C/195 F thermostat is the match to the 205 F fan sensor in my car. So, I guess you want
them about 10 degrees apart. Happy rolling!
