I guess this all hinges on what equipment you have available.
It's easy to do, actually. Just unbolt all the accessories and the engine mount top bolts. Undo the bellhousing bolts (again, easily accessible with the distributor out of the way, and other things. No need for extensions or bizarre setups like the 240; the 700 has ample room to crawl around inside.
You can pull the car with A/C intact, believe it or not. I've done it. Just pull the comp aside and leave the condenser in.
Worst part is getting the torque converter bolts undone. It's just a pain in the butt... nothing very special about it though. A 3/8" bar (not a ratchet) fits nicely with a 17mm (i think) socket attached to do the job.
Make sure you replace the transmission's front seal when you do the installation (obviously).
Best part: you don't have to even remove the hood. The installation, mating of the trans and the engine, is the hardest part. The rest of it is just time.
