Locking torque converter? 700 1991

find a very long stretch of lonely road and start accelerating your car VERY slowly and constantly. at around 35-40 MPH, your car should shift into OD. keep accelerating very very slowly while in OD and do not change the position of your pedal.

if your lockup is working properly, when you get to around 48MPH, you should notice your car seems to shift against slightly causing your RPMs to drop a tiny bit.

after your lockup engages at around 48MPH, basically your RPM needle shouldn't bounce up and down when you're accelerating (unless it shifts of course)
