Cold starts are not a problem .... just hit the key and away she goes .... however, run downtown and park and just try to start the old girl when you come back from your errands ....... Investigation so far has revealed that the front carb float bowl is overflowing .... so I replaced the needle and seat ... still overflows ... so far I have replaced ... points, condenser, plug wires, plugs so the ignition system should be up to scratch .... MOST times if I floor the gas pedal ... she will eventually condescend to start however, there are times when she just won't go ..... but .. if I can get a push or roll down a hill she starts VERY easily ..... I also have replaced the starter ... cranks like crazy ..... seems to me that the power to the coil must be low while cranking .... and when I coast start it ... there is more power to the ignition system and away she goes .... Has anyone else run into this problem ? Other than installing a High Energy System has anyone found a solution ? Have reached the tearing out hair by the roots stage .... any assistance would be greatly appreciated ......
