Yeah, I don't know too much about motor types but I did know that the motor has the larger conncting rods making it a stronger engine. I guess I am still learning. Most of the work that's done on my 760 is from a friends local garage. I can trust him and I get a break when I help him find parts and troubleshoot. I just had a new Garret turbo put on it last week and that really hit the pocketbook. Then this problem with the hall effect sensor. The turbo was starting to rub against the housing. I was surprised that it failed because I have about 112000 on the car. Do you have any good advice about Turbo mantainence such as types of oil? I used a synthetic mobil1 and I am not sure, but I feel like that's what might have caused part of the turbo failure.
