How to paint faded chiped paint.

I don't want to be rude- just honest. If you are torn between spray cans and a paint gun then it is probably safe to say that neither one are going to do you much good. Peeling clear coat is a real handfull to deal with and not the place to learn the trade. You could spend a lot of time and money trying to make it look better and very easily fail miserably and actually reduce the value of the car. You are probably better off just cutting your losses and selling the car as is. Spend your time and money cleaning it up as much as possible and move on.
