Yes. The diagnosis box will give a code indicating what is wrong. But, in this case, the light goes off when the engine rev up. The code then is probably not registered in the memory and you may get nothing if you try to read the code.


I have a 240 SE wagon and the described problem happens all the time. I do not think that is a big problem. It may be caused by non-smooth fuel supply right after start. Old fuel pump relay or in-op in-tank fuel pump may be the problem.
