Do they actually sell plastic water pumps for our Volvos???? Plastic impellers??? Never heard of such a thing. Tell me the source so I never order one.

Actually I have never, ever seen a pump fail to pump, ever. The only water pump failure that I know is when it starts to leak out the front seal or the bearing goes.

I think it is myth that overheat can be caused by a bad water pump. Of course if it leaks resulting in loss of coolant that another matter. We see guys here from time to time trying to solve overheat problems by replacing a pump, waste of time.
