Hello,

No the engine will not blow, but bear in mind that you're going to need everything from a Turbo equiped car to do this. Your carburetor setup uill have to go in favour of the fuel injection, all the wiring and the computers will be required. Is the body on the car good? If not, don't even bother, saveuyourself some money and hassle and just go out and but the complete car.
