Oxygen sensor and fuel economy

This would be of interest to me also. I checked the operation of mine per the
Chilton's manual and it seems to be putting out the right voltages and acting as
it is supposed to. However, it could be fooling me.;-) I have an 84 an Iwouldnt be suprised that it is the original lambda sensor. I would guess that you may see some increase in MPG but from what I can determine it has a bigger effect on the operation of the air bypass solenoid as it is one the five inputs to the ECU that controls the solenoid.
How much do they cost anyway?
