Oxygen sensor and fuel economy

My O2 sensor is dead (replacing it this weekend) and I'm getting 23 mpg on Bad Blue

for a wagon with a non functioning O2 sensor that's not too bad!

I think if your sensor tests OK replacing it wouldn't change your mileage much...

but I'm definitely not an expert on O2 sensors.
