At my wit's end with wet carpets in my 740!!!

Matthew, you are on the right track, but the water enters the car from God-knows-where, and runs *downhill* to the rear. It's as simple as that.

Lots of people have reported success with hosing from the outside. But I especially like the suggesiton of pressurizing the car with a Shopvac, and checking the OUTSIDE with soapy water solution brushed on, though I haven't tried it.

Search the Brickboard for the gazillion messages that have described common sources of leaks, OK?
