I just did this with my 87 740. I don't know that all 700 3rd seats fit every year. When I bought the seat for my 87, I specified that I wanted a seat from an 87. The install is easy after you figure out where all the predrilled holes are. Make sure you are getting ALL the hardware when you buy.
