Backrest Heaters 700

Doing some further research, the resistence should be low for the heater pad (~ 2 ohms) if they are similiar to Audi heaters. Audis have problems with the seat elements and people have been known to solder/crimp the open. see http://www.20v.org/seatheat.htm for more info.

It could be the second heater in the seat is bad. The second heater in the seat is in series with the backrest so if on is open neither will work.

I'll check the voltage to determine which is out.
