Need advice regarding potential purchase. 700

Ive always been a 700 guy, but ill give you the pro's and cons, some of the 700 wagons came with the Niv's, expensive shocks i dont recomend getting one with those unless you plan to put stuff back there all the time and you need the rear end to be that high, Ive heard people say the 740 series have a better and stronger engine then the 240's but i cannot actually say yes or no or even a an opinion on that as i have never owned a 240, I have learned with a 740 if you have a time and alittle extra money its plenty worth it to kinda customize it to you, those of us who drive diff then the rest anyways, i tend to take turns at 80 MPH as that the assumed speed limit in Southern California, I drive a 89 740 Wagon so i upgraded my rims to the turbo model rims ( 15 inch stan is 14 ) which helped out a lot, but in my eyes unless you plan to work on it yourself if you find one with a problem dont bother with it, ive bought a few 740's with problems only because i know how to work on them and make then run perfect again but most people buy them thinking all is well, ( Shady Mechanics like to sell these ) and truly there are some problems, Your best bet is a Non Turbo 88 and Later 700 they fixed a ton of problems after 88 and later and from what i have seen made them much more efficant and reliable, keep in mind there is a saying at 100k 200k and so on expect to have problems espically with a turbo model on cars that were eithe rnot taken care of or just driven like normall ( Sensors, Mounts ETC ). The F&Q has a lot of information you can look at that will deff help you out right here in the Brick very very informative to anyone looking to buy or fix there own. Good Luck
