Thanks so much for both those replies.... very helpful to know the correct way to do it. And, that it *might* not matter is I do it wrong. The unit I put in is a J-type...

As it is, I did a temp setup they way my 164 is just going through the switch with positive. And...lo and behold the overdrive still works! Yippee!

I've got extra switches and relays though, so I might go ahead and do it right soon. For now, I'm still pretty much in a testing mode with all systems....
