FWIW I've seen some clobbered 140's in junkyard that looked like they performed quite well in their demise. The crush zones are always well crushed, while the center cage remains square. And of the one or two I have seen that were rolled neither had collapsed or even signifigantly bent roofs. Same goes for 122's as well. I've never seen a crashed PV - but the lack of engineered crush zones on them makes me wonder about them.
Its sort of interesting looking at Volvo's in a junkyard. The old ones are all either horribly run down and rusted beyond belief or quite comprehensively bent in a collision. There are almost never any nice looking bodies left. Compare to other makes - especially domestics. You see plenty of sharp looking cars in there - the owners just gave up on fixing the mechanical problems I guess.
