Opinions on V40 wagon?!?

Mark

As far as I know, the 1998 V90 was the last rear wheel wagon Volvo produced. This was simply a rebadged 960 wagon. They are pretty rare. My brother has a 1997 960 wagon, as well as a 2003 XC70. The 960 is a better cargo hauler than my 850 wagon (wider).

I have only driven the V40 a couple of times, as service loaners. My opinion is that they have no spark at all. Hard to tell you are in a Volvo. They probably would be more interesting if they were available in North America with a manual transmssion. Every s/v40 I have seen is equipped with a turbocharged 1.9 litre 4 cylinder.
