'91 740 problems after 100K service

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I'm especially glad to hear about the E-PROM...my mechanic was quoting me $400 just for the part! I assume this has never been done to my car...no record of it. Anyone know if this only appies to certain VIN's and whether I can tell if this might have been done?
