Ignition Control Unit 200 1986

If you have power (battery voltage) to terminal 2 on the distributor the ignition control is powering up the hall sensor. The sensor sends a positive, pulsed signal back to the ignition control (dist. term 3 ). Distributor terminal 1 is negative. It sounds like the hall sensor is defective.
