As for #1...

I have this little threaded valve in the Weber on my 122. It has a wire hooked to it that is powered whenever the ignition is on. When you cut off the ignition, this valve closes and is supposed to prevent run-on. My car used to diesel like crazy until I replaced this little valve. As for your other problems... I have no freakin idea.
