B23F, GREAT engine but crummy engine harness.

Change the oil and take reasonable care of it and you should get a half million miles outta it, maybe more. The car will rust out before the motor wears out.

Check the harness where it loops under the front pulley. A heavy wire in it goes directly to the battery. The cable clamps sometimes cut through the insulation causing a major short circuit and a fire. Then your car becomes a parts car.

Also fix the steel lines from the automatic tranny to the radiator. They rattle in their little clamps (at the support brackets). Eventually they wear through. You can put a few wraps of friction tape around them, under the clamps, to prevent the rattling.

The fuel return line to the tank might eventually rust through, usually back near the differential. You can replace it with about 8-10 feet of good quality Neoprene fuel hose (no pressure in that line).

Expect to replace the a/t rear bushing and seal at around 200-250k miles.

Engine rear main seal at around 150-200k miles, depending on oil used and change frequency. (Also front engine seals.)

Timing belt every 50k miles, tensioner at 150k. Probably a water pump at 150k, too.

Keep an eye on the radiator.

If you're in the rust belt, keep an eye on the lower spring cups, front struts.
