Battery cable replacement tips 700 1988

A little unorthodox and untested, but how about using 1/0 welding cable for your + battery wire. Negligable voltage drop, maintains flexabilty to very low temps (-50C) and the neoprene insulation is relatively chem. resistant. Just a thought if you are trying to "roll" your own.
