distibutor ? 140-160

Is it posable to use the distributor (machanical advance only) of a later B20 fuel injection on a 70 B20 w/ carburation? Is it a beter distibutor? My 70 144s has a Weber convertion with the vacume retad and mechanical advance distributor. Would there be any performace gains? And if so where should the timing be set? I've been told its posable.
