Do you need to replace the rotor with the pads? 200

The minimum allowable thickness for the rotors is stamped/molded into the rotor just inboard of the wear surface on the outside.

If you take the rotors to have them machined, the shop will likely refuse to turn them if they will end up below minimum thickness. (liability issue)

The minimum thickness has to do with both strength and heat dissipation. Just between us, you can run them somewhat thinner than the minimum allowable thickness without fear (but you didn't hear it from me).
