Volvo 145 V-6 Conversion 140-160 1971

Sorry about the empty message...

I think the best american motor you're going to be able to squish
into a 145 is a ford turbo 2.3 cyl. I understand that some people
can run these things with huge boost; they can make 300hp and still
be sort of reliable. One of these swaps will be about on par with
a B21/23/230 -> 140 only easier and cheaper. The ford 2.3 has the
intakes on one side and exhaust on the other but it is installed
straight up and down.

Ford also makes a pushrod 4 that's almost identical to the B20 in
dimensions. I don't know if they're at all fast but they are likely
cheap and have easy find and have lots of transmissions.

A V6 will be heavy, expensive, and require lots of welding. Were
it mine I'd either go for the stock B20 in good shape (they're
nice motors) or the 2.3 if I had lots of time and some money.
