Back on the 122, M40 length? 120-130

Firstly, I beleive them were my measurements... which I have to say are approximate, but close. Basically though, if you have a Dtype OD, you should be able to go with the automatic driveshaft. If you're lucky, the fella saved the old one.... If you ahve a Jtype OD, you'll need to have the shaft modified, as I don't reckon they every put Jtypes in 122s.

My biggest concern is that welding job... Are you saying he didn't have a crossmember and welded one in??? If so, that would be crazy for one, because all the threaded holes should be there under the undercoat. But also, if he did just weld in a Xmember, it *might* have clearance issues with an overdrive....

IF you need a driveshaft section, let me know... I might have one if you can figure out the length you need. I'll also take a look under my wagon to see what was done to install the Jtyp OD which it has... not sure if they cut the driveshaft or not, but I could probably measure it for you...
