STICKY IGNITION SWITCH REMOVAL 700

It is not the key/tumbler assembly that is at fault. It is the electrical switch connected to it. It is accessed by removing the panels under the dash on the driver's side. Great flexibility in your body makes it a little easier. If I remember correctly you simply pull off the electrical connector and then the switch is held in place by two screws. One of those screws was hard for me to get to. I had the same lack of return that you are experiencing with your switch. The replacement cured that.
