Congratulations on getting the Volvo home George. I sold my restored 1951 M-37 to a guy in Virginia early last year that wanted to get into the military scene. I told him that the truck weighed more than 5500 lbs and that a 3/4-ton truck and heavy duty trailer would be required to transport the truck unless he wanted to drive 50mph for 800 miles. He showed up with a Jeep Cherokee and a half-ton trailer at best. I was really reluctant to load the M-37 for him, but he paid for it and insisted on taking it home that day. When I drove the M-37 on the trailer the front and rear of the trailer bent down no less than ten inches. I thought the trailer was going to brake in half. He pulled around the block at my request to test brake and such and was amazed that the Jeep had a real hard time stopping. He did call me the next day to say he had made it home, but he drove the entire way around 45 MPH. SHOULD HAVE JUST DROVE THE M-37 HOME.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the new wagon. It looked pretty good on e-bay.

PS. With the tires inflated to 40psi the M-37 was actual OK to steer. It was when the tire pressure got below 30psi it got hard to steer. Still think the M-37 series is the best overall truck ever built!!!
