Here's a two-person check: For the in-tank pump, Person #2 is to open gas door, remove gas cap, use finger to push open the Unleadedonly thingie, an put an ear right close to the gas inlet opening. Then Person #1 turns key to start. Person #2 should hear the in-tank pump operate - make a buzz. Obviously this works best when the tank has only a little gas in it.

Another two-person check: For the main pump. Person #2 squats down beside and to rear of the LR wheel. Either reach a hand in to touch the main pump platform, or just listen real close. Person #1 turns key to Start, and Person #2 listens or feels for the pump to operate.

To be certain, first run the test with yourself as Person #2, then do it again with yourself as Person #1.
