tail lights on 240 and bulb warning light driving me crazy!

I have the same problem and when I put in new matched bulbs into the stop lights it did not help the problem.

When I hit the brakes, the warning light always goes on and then if I lift off the brakes immediately and then push back on the brakes, the warning light DOES NOT come on.

I know that the bulb resistance changes (increases) after the initial turn on and the current goes down somewhat, but WHY DOES IT ALWAYS happen when I push on brakesw initially then NOT TURN ON after the second pushing of the brakes?? The bulbs are new and matched.

I understand that the sensor measures the DIFFERENCE in the current to the two bulbs, so the bulbs are new and matched and there should not be any DIFFERENCE in the bulb current on the first or second pushing of the brake pedal?
