upper a-arm bushing questions! 120-130 1966

I just replaced my upper a-arm bushings too (ipd rubber ones, not the polyurethane ones). They bulged up a bit right when I installed them, but I haven't noticed any cracking...

The only problem I'm having is that they squeak like heck (mostly when they're not 'warmed up'). Worse than the old ones. I used soapy water and torqued as best I could in the tight space. Any ideas?
