upper a-arm bushing questions! 120-130 1967

One thought is how the car was positioned when you torque the fastners. On suspension bushings it is critical that the car be at rest (not jacked up with the wheels hanging) while tightening the fastneres. If you torque them while hanging this gives a preload on the bushing when the car is lowered and usualy will lead to early failure of the bushing.
