You are one of the fortunate Volvo drivers along with everyone else on this forum, you walked away. My son was tackled by a semi truck last year and his wagon was absolutly twisted. Now imagine this. You are a police officer responding to a crash and when you get close you recognize the mangled vehicle and are sure no one in the car survived. Engine shoved under the car, glass blown out and large parts shoved into the other vehicles grill. The only saving grace was my son loved his Volvo and would drive in nothing else, not even with friends. Now imagine coming to that same wreck and seeing your sons car in that condition, almost wet my uniform. I did however find him resting in the grass. Thank God and Volvo!
From an officers perspective coming on the scene I would have insisted that you checked into the emergency room however you were in a brick so at that point would be inclined to believe that you were alright. Cars can be replaced, they are cheap compared to broken backs, wheelchairs and constant care. Im very glad that you were not injured and wearing your belt. Incedently I have written almost 100 seatbelt tickets in the past 60 days. Just remember these types of injuries do not show themselves right away, you tend to discover them doing your daily living.
I do hope you find your dream Volvo, maybe this was a wake-up call to get you motivated who knows.
You are alive and well, thats what counts
