The fuel pump relay is in the relay tray accessed by removing the ashtray in your car.

Are you saying you swapped out the relays located on the the shock towers?? The suppression relay is on one tower and the fan on the other. Same relay number on each. If you did not change them, one for the other, try that and if it starts you need to resolder the relays. My experience is that when they go bad you can sometimes achieve a cold start but not a hot one.

You can not always see the tach "tick" even with a good RPM sensor. My 91 745T never moves the tach while cranking.
