Quick question about antenna 700 1988

the nylon cable inside the mast was indeed what broke on my antenna, but as i said, the mast is fairly expensive to replace, about $15-20. i have had the same mast for 3 years now, and it is still working fine, and i cycle the antenna quite frequently.

what you're trying to do is most definitely not worth the trouble IMHO.
