Matt, the fuel filter is under the car, forward of the gas tank, on a combined mount with the main fuel pump. The filter is a metal can about 4" in diameter and maybe 6 inches long. Look closely, and at each end you will see a brass fitting with a hex head (the banjo fitting). On the filter side, the end of the filter which mates with the banjo fitting and hose also has a hex. The way to 'break' a fluid fitting like this is to put one wrench on the stationary side (filter) and another on the moveable side (the hex on the banjo fitting). Align the two wrenches so that they are no more than one hex flat apart from each other, rotationally, and also so that when you squeeze the 2 wrench handles together they will work to loosen the fittings, not tighten them. This technique avoids "runaway" wrenches which can lead to broken or crimped fluid lines and skinned knuckles. Install the new filter and tighten the same way.
