That happened to my '82 hi-mileage bomber the night before a long (and unavoidable) trip. And I couldn't get a replacement in time.
So I scrubbed the housing squeaky-clean, drilled out the broken nipple, and RTV'd in a 1" piece of small copper tubing. The next morning the RTV was cured and the cooper pipe was firmly in place. The vac hose fit fine.
We went on our trip. Everything worked great.
Three years later I installed a new housing.
Yes, you can drive it.
Why not try a quick patch 'til the new parts arrive?
