This is an open forum Don, and your were raising a legitimate question for discussion. No problem with that. We all get a chance to learn some stuff when these things are discussed. I have heard the same thing from previous posts over the past few months, but it always seems to be kinda third hand. Like you, I am keeping my flame trap until I see something showing that this is an official Volvo recommendation. Let us know what you find out.
