The 94-95 cars are going to be much easier to work on, and are going
to be much cheaper to service than the V90/965.
You'll be happier too if you're the type to do your work yourself.
The V90 is obviously a more luxurious car, but also far more
complicated, and the oppportunities for a backyard mechanic to realize
much happiness with the 6-cylinder cars are fewer.
Also, just a minor thing, but the door panels don't get bunched up in the
940 series- it's $800 a set to fix this screwup in the 965/V90. Yet another
aggravation of the fancier car.
None of this is to suggest that the 965/V90 is NOT a nice car, quite the
contrary. It's wonderful. But all that luxury comes with a price tag.
It's really your choice but I think the longer you have it, the more you'll
appreciate the 945T for the nice-but-simpler car that it is.
