Speedometer problems 200 1986

Replacing with a good used unit is a good option. Scour the boneyards. Look for a speedo with the same "k" number (such as k9800, or whatever yours is).

Sending your defective speedo head out for repair is another reasonable option, though it might cost in three figures.

Buying a replacement from Volvo, if even available, would break the bank.

Personally, I'd tear into mine and either fix it or make one of the other options a necessity.
