Having done: glowplugs (8 plus times), injection pumps, headgaskets, timing belts (3 times), water pumps, and AT to MT conversions, the "Volvo" diesels in the US are a JOKE. Junk? No. Bad? Yes. I bought ALL the required tools from the dealer for about $130, and a dial indicator from the tool guy for another $50.

If it runs good, and starts well in cold weather (20*F and below) I'd say it is worth a couple bucks, otherwise I'd just walk away.
