Replaced engine harness, no start now 1986 240 DL

If your replacement harness has the correct wire colors, the ones to your starter should be Yellow/Blue (or B/Y). I think it could be put on the wrong terminal.

There should be two Y/B fastened together into the same female connector, which gets pushed onto the flat, horizontal "blade" terminal that is below and to the outside of the big upper threaded post, where the thick red Battery cable is fastened.
