New project... 140-160

I'll second and third what you say about price/quality when it comes to paint jobs.... The guys that know how to spray are truly artists...

That said though... Has the car been garaged all/most/part of its life? What color is it? (I'm picturing red or darkish blue..?) Is the paint faded through to the primer? If it ain't through to the primer, spend a day with some good polishing compound... Volvo really laid the paint on thick, and you might be surprised how good it can still look.

IF you do end up gitting it painted, you can always save a decent amount of $ by prepping it yourself... that is, pull all the trim and windows if you're ambitious. Clean it up real good... that's fun anyhow..

Even going with the budget places... most of the corners that they cut are in the prepwork. And using cheap paint. Spend extra for the good stuff.

Can't wait to see some pics soon!
