Why I got the U-Joints:

There is a pretty good clunk that seems to come from the back when engaging or releasing the clutch in low gears when the car first starts. Also I am getting noise from behind the rear seat when decellerating from 55 mph to about 50 mph. Oh yeah, I busted off one of the existing grease fittings on the forward end of the rear drive shaft.

I do have an entire rear end from a donor car that will hopefully get rebuilt one day but the winter weather makes for miserable wrenching. Hopefully the trusty PV (daily driver) won't laugh too hard at the wimpy human who can't take a bit of chill.
