The Amazon originally had a column change automatic. The various brackets to make the change work were welded to the shell.
Incidentally the transmission tunnel on the automatic Amazonis bigger than the manual version.
The P1800 box is different from the Amazon version because of the column change, which wasn't used on the 1800ES. 1800ES used a floor shift. The linkage on the 'box is on the other side of the 'box. Amazons didn't use a radiator with the integral oil water hear exchanger for the autobox, its only used on 140's not sure if even P1800's used it.
I think I'd be inclined to use a separate oil cooler, the heat exchanger was of poor quality.
It's a fair amount of work to do to end up with a devalued car.
